Environmentalism and Inkjet Articles
The topic of online laser and inkjet articles might seem very, very boring to many people. But these people would almost certainly be very shocked to learn what an environmental impact these products can have on the entire world. For example, over three hundred seventy million laser and inkjet cartridges are thrown away each and every year, and thatÂ’s only in the United States. Worldwide, experts actually estimate that over one billion of these cartridges are purchased. Unfortunately, the rate at which these products are recycled is so dismal that almost all of these will end up either taking up space and destroying surrounding areas in landfills, or destroying the ozone layer and atmosphere after being incinerated.
Truly, there is no excuse for this behavior in the first place, but its continued practice is abhorrent to say the least. In fact, according to toner and inkjet articles, the weight of these printer cartridges thrown in landfills alone every year (just in the United States) is equal to over seventy thousand American made gas hungry sports utility vehicles. Or to appeal to a more international crowd, it is the equivalent of over one hundred ten thousand compact cars. Imagine throwing away one hundred ten thousand compact cars that could so readily and easily be recycled.
Fortunately, though, that is the case, and these printer products can incredibly easily be recycled, refilled, or otherwise remanufactured and a vast majority of this environmental pillaging and destruction can be avoided. Furthermore, the amount of oil and gasoline saved in the process would actually lower gas prices, although it would probably only be marginal. Applied to a much larger picture, though, if we recycled more of the little things across the board we could drastically drive down gas prices as well as the amount of high quality resources that are literally thrown away and wasted by our current practices.
