How to Recycle HP 1022 Toner

Operating printers in an office of any size can be very confusing and extremely frustrating. Just hearing words such as “HP 1022 toner” could quite honestly drive the average person mad in a very short period of time, especially if he or she has no knowledge of printers at all. But there is one thing that everyone should know about printers and printer related products: recycling isn’t just a good idea, it’s the perfect way to help the environment while making some extra money for your business or even yourself.

It is no secret that printer cartridges can be extremely, and even in some cases prohibitively expensive. HP 1022 toner usually costs around forty dollars per cartridge, and if you do a lot of printing that might only last you a week (or less).

There is a secret, though, that can help a lot of people curtail their probably obscene printing costs. Most people do not know that there are businesses, most often websites, which will buy back used printer cartridges. Although you can bring your used cartridges to the local computer store where you purchase refills (if you do not do that online as well), usually these are just donation bins that only recycle the product for you. This is definitely a good thing, but why not make some money while doing it?

The websites that pay for used printer cartridges will usually pay in one of two ways: either a straight cash payment, or often a rebate towards future purchases. If you spend a lot of money on printer products, then these really make no difference to you. If you start a recycling program to make a bit of money while helping the environment, though, you may want to look into a website that offers cash since hundreds of dollars in printer rebates might not be of any real use to you.
